I can say this much this is a haunting tale of lost love, second chances, and redemption. And it's hard to put down once you get into it... by the end of the first chapter, you think you know exactly what is going to happen, but you are consistently surprised by the twists the plot takes. With a first novel like this, I'm eager to see what else Vicki Cypcar can come up with.
This is the best book I have read in sometime. Better than some of the "Known" authors even! The return of Rory Decker had me so full of emotions. I was mad, sad, happy, shocked & even cried a few times. That's how real the people in this book seemed to me. I had to look at the back again to make sure it was indeed fiction! I am looking forward to any future work by author Vicki J. Cypcar because she has a new fan!
Personally knowing this author, I had the privilege of reading a "rough draft" before publication. The finished product, in published, polished form was even better than the first read. I finished it over a weekend, reading it by flashlight while riding home one night. The story took me back in time to wonderful memories I had forgotten. It is refreshing to read a book that makes you feel so good; a book that makes you feel like you personally know the characters. I didn't want it to end and was hoping that the story could continue; maybe in a sequel! I am giving this book to many people on my Christmas list this year. May you find it equally as enjoyable. Mother's Day is very hard for me. Lots of family tragedies on this anniversary cause my anxiety to rise. So, I asked my family for some quiet time and I grabbed this book off the shelf to read. A friend gave it to me last year. Now, I ask myself, "Why did I wait so long?" The turns and twists with a slightly paranormal overtone kept me enthralled. The sweet, gentle nature of the writer came through, leaving me with the warm feeling I truly needed on this difficult day. It was the perfect escape. I thank the author for giving me this gift.
I loved this novel....enjoyed the ease of how the author conveyed this touching story of love and redemption. I think the author did a great job of developing her characters. I'm looking forward to reading more novels by Vicki Cypcar in the future!
This book was recommended to me by my cousin. As an avid reader, I relish being able to discover and enjoy something refreshing and original. This book does not disappoint! I love the undertones of the book, nothing gratuitous like in so many other pop novels of the day. Great story, surprising twists and some cool cars, too. Great book!! Thanks.
What an amazing story from a great new author!! It was such a new and refreshing story. I love the twists and turns, this is definitely a book that will keep you guessing and keep you on your toes.
"Wow" is all I can say about this book. If you believe in the power of love, you will not be able to put this book down. I truly feel like I have lived my life with the characters that Vicki has created. My only regret is that, though I was one of the first to purchase the book after it was published, it has taken me so long to sit down and read it. It is warm, uplifting and heartfelt. Vicki has interwoven her faith in a very engaging romance. Her values shine and I am proud to call her a friend.
